DeAmp supplied sound absorbing pictures to the large engineering contractor firm, Skanska.

Acusto is a Norwegian building interior supplier for public and private office buildings all over Norway. They are owned by the Skanska Group and have a branch office at Tungasletta in Trondheim. Acusto has included DeAmp’s sound absorbers in their product portfolio and wanted to use their own canteen as a showcase for some of the unique possibilities with decorative sound absorbers as an aesthetical improvement in the building. The canteen has a large ceiling height with a glass canopy and several glass curtain walls. Consequently, the acoustics becomes a challenge and the employees experienced noise problems especially during the crowded lunch hour. To reduce reverberation time and improve the acoustics a gray, empty area on the wall was chosen and covered with DeAmp’s sound absorbing panels decorated with printed photos.
